Hello Jacouille,

I think this might be worth a look:

Hello,

I know the module exaprom.

I added in the "New PDF" module a reference "PDFWriter - setencryption"

I can introduce different values for the "ownerPassword", the "userPassword", the "strength" can be either true or false.

But I do not know what value to change permissions.

On the net, I found some information (see attachment) but I do not know how to implement.

thanks for your help

Hello Jacouille,

Where are you exactly stuck?

Based on this VI and your documentation you just have to specify each of the bits of 32-bits signed integer called "permissions".

What these 32 bits should be is documented in the pdf you posted.

If something is unclear, then please let me know.

Hello ThiCop,

The error came that I had to reverse the order.

I have another problem :

When the PDF file is not protected everything "set up" as I wish text, picture watermark, ... .

When the file is protected, some elements are not introduced into the pdf file and I get an error 1172 (see attachment).

The problem seems to come from the PDF stamper.

Hello Jacouille,

After a week in Finland I'm now back at the office.

I seem to be not able to open your VI based on the library mentioned here: https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-10952

Are you using the same version, because there appear to be some differences in naming and some missing VIs.

Jacouille,

If you are willing to post your VIs (LV2009), I could take a look at the end of this week.  Because we both speak french, it will easier if we continue this post in the french board.

Hello J-M,

I guess you wrote the palette based on your name.

His VI's can be found a few posts higher.

There however seem to be a few missing VIs or renamed ones compared to your original post.

Yes,  I wrote the palette.  Unfortunately, his VI's are in LV2012 and I only have LV2009.
