Excellent custom icon editor

Hello,

does anybody know if it will be a new version for LabVIEW 8.6??

I'm using LV8.6 and I miss this wonderful icon editor.

sorry but I have never used the IE in LabVIEW 8.6

I am pretty sure that it does work if you change the install.vi a bit. Open this VI and change the constant that is wired to the big for loop from 2 to 1. 

If it only runs once, the BD of the VIs is not removed.

that is right, but somewhere down the road something happened to version 3.0...

The icon editor is running. Now I can restart to paint great icons. 🙂

But a the first two trials to install the icon editor LabVIEW crashed.

The third time I run the VI with the single step functions to find out where the problem is.

I don't know why, but in this case no problem occured.

That is a really good question.

I guess it was my fault a couple days ago (how else could it be possible). I was about to update the source code, when the screen of my lap top refused to display anything. I clicked several times around because I thought it just hangs. It seems that I hit the delete button because I can't find the IE in the repository either.

According to the comments about my suggestion, I'm expecting LV 2009 to ship with an improved icon editor. May be it is based on ThSa's one ! Let's wait some weeks...

If the case may be, the UI and handling of the IE would be completely different than V2.2

Hi, i'm using the version for labview 8.5.1, but the setting tab is always disabled. seems like it can't get a valid reference to the VI.

is there anyway I can fix it?

sorry but i don't have the original installation files anymore and it is no where to be found anymore.  it now only has the "Enhanced Icon Editor for labview 2009", unfortunately we don't have any plans using labview 2009 yet.

I watched the video and it is really nice.  can it be ported to labview 8.5 or 8.6?
