Exception occurred: node 0x0 of subVI "NI_AALPro.lvlib:General Polynomial Fit"

The problem only occurs on my laptop, since a few weeks ago. Before that, I have never had any problems.

I'm having the exact same problem on my laptop (but, interestingly, not on a second laptop - the same program works just fine on it).  I have already tried repairing all the installation files, and uninstalling/reinstalling the main LabView program.  I was just about to uninstall and reinstall every single LabView component, but now I'm afraid that's unlikely to work.  Is there some kind of fix/workaround?

The laptop with the problem: HP running Windows XP Media Center, SP2.  This computer is hooked up to a university network.

The laptop with no problem: HP running Windows XP Professional, SP2.  This computer has never been hooked up to the network.

Both computers are less than 1 year old. LabView 8.2 (20th anniversary edition) was installed on both computers from the same disk (academic site license) with the same components installed.  Neither computer has ever had any other version of LabView installed.  The problem shows up as part of a larger program, as well as on a basic test vi: 2 1-D vectors of doubles wired to the polynomial fit as inputs, and all other settings left as defaults.

Can anyone help me?  I'd be glad to provide any other necessary info.  Thanks!

I have the same problem and are given the exact same error message. I have XP with service pack 3 and LV 8.01. Also for me it works on a different computer.

Have anyone solved this issue ?

Hi

I just found out that if I use a different algortithm it works on "all" my computers.

Hi Mattias,

That's good news.  What algorithm ended up working for you?

Hi lasergeek,

If I use SVD or Givens I get an error. All the others works.

Best regards
