Existing Toolkit Use with New 8.5 Labview Upgrade

If I upgrade from Labview 8.2 to 8.5 do I need to re-install my toolkits?  I seem to faintly remember doing this from 8.0 to 8.2 and needing to be careful about this procedure....creating a temp folder and switching things around??  I recall referencing an NI brief on this topic, but now can't seem to find it.

This KnowledgeBase entry is the primary reference for using LabVIEW toolkits in multiple LabVIEW versions.  We are looking into ways to make this process easier in future LabVIEW versions.
