Experience with the Opto 22 Optomux driver??

Hello All,
I am working on a project with some old Opto 22 hardware. For that reason I downloaded the driver from the ni website. The driver is in general "okay" but seems unfinished and posted during development. Because it is the only driver available for opto 22 I have no choice but using it or make one myself (too short on time).

Does anyone have experience with this driver or has someone done some rework on it?

My experience is that this driver will not work in its current form. I already made some changes to get the most essential things working, but before I advance it would be very nice to know if someone has the "completed" driver somewhere laying around..

Thanks,
Jochem

Please give which Old Opto stuff you are using. No experience with that driver but... We are using older serial Opto22 controllers (SNAP_LCSX_PLUS) We were able to issue fourth commands from labview and use the Opto22 host task to transfer data from defined Opto22 memory locations or Tables to Labview for display and action. Hope this helps.

We are using opto ac24at adaptercards to communicate direclty to several b1 en b2 (digital and analog) brainboards. They have a range of modules attached.
The method you use to retrieve data seems to be more advanced then the driver I am currently using. The driver is just sending strings over the kabel and it interprets the response.. So far i didn't work with memory locations or tables. The hardware dates somewhere around 1993 or earlier.
Thanks for the response,
Jochem

I was working with jpenko (Hi Jon!) and I have an archive with all the documentation I have been able to scrounge from Opto on their interface. Contact me directly and I'll email it to you. (For some reason NI's upload won't take it.)
