The transmission of your serial data is totally irrelevant to the sampling of the ecg waveform. That is a function of the A/D you are using in the board that is doing the transmitting of the digitized signal.

With all respect, my dear friend: no one has said you need to convince us that you wrote all that code on your own.

With all respect, my dear friend: You seem to miss basic knowledge about FFT and you also seem to not get the point on sampling frequency of the DAQ part of your application.

With all respect, my dear friend: as Dennis said before, data transmission over any kind of link between device and LabVIEW/PC has nothing to do with the properties of your DAQ hardware...
