sir,
I want to design a SOFTWARE DEFINED RADIO using Labview 7.1.presently i am having modulation toolkit with me.i want to know whether my work can be done or not.
theme--->i want to connect a antenna to the PCI card 6014 and want to take input the FM signal from that port and i want to process that using the labview i.e demodulation and filtering.can i do that i labview using the modulation kit.

You probably should find a book on the basics of RF communications. You have a number of problems with what you are proposing, with the software end being the least of them. First, the 6014 card has only a 200 KS/s rate, meaning the highest frequency that you could look at would be less that 100 KHz. Secondly, unless the signal were very strong you would not be able to detect them with the input sensitivity available. There are an almost infinite number of other issues that you have to deal with before you start thinking about whether you can do the demodulation in LabVIEW.

Hi
Besides LV-pro post, you will need, at least, a rf module. ( see example in this link: http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/niepd_web_display.display_epd4?p_guid=F136C65D841A1BB8E0340003BA7CCD71
and, even having it, the signal level can be very important. I know NI is developing a RF preamplifier for its rf PXI module, so when ready, you will be able to receive, demodulate and listen to FM signals.

Hope it helps.
