Hello,
I am having problems compiling FPGA code, I am getting error -61319 when the compile fails. Most frequently it times out during the "estimating resouces planAhead" stage and sometimes in the synthesis stage. I am using:-
Labview 2012 SP1
Xilinx 13.4 Compilation Tool
Windows 7 with 2 GB of RAM
I have tried reinstalling the Labview FPGA Xilinx module, to no avail. I have tried compiling different projects that have compiled previously, with no success! I have compiled successfully with this PC previously, although I am not sure if I have since changing to 2012.
I have tried searching for information related to -61319 but all I can find is the error text that accompanies the fault code in the details window. Two images below show the error code I am receiving.
Any help/advise gratefully received.

Hi,
Do you have any McAfee software on your computer? In the past, the solution to this error has been to uninstall all McAfee software and go with a different anti-virus instead, as something in the McAfee software seems to be incompatible and causes the compile farm server to abort.
Best wishes,

Hello,
No we don't use McAfee software, we use Symantec endpoint protection for anti-virus software. I have checked the Symantec logs but nothing is showing. I can't disable the anti-virus, I don't have permissions to do it.
Thanks Wayne

Hi,
Hmm, that rules out most of the references to this error on our systems - the only other potential solution I've immediately been able to find is if you try copying and pasting the code into new VIs in a new project - it seems this can sometimes be caused by corruptions in the files at project level.
Hope this works for you: in the mean time, I'll keep looking to see what else I can find on this error.
Best wishes,

Hello,
I built a new project and then created a new fpga vi, and have the same problem, compilation fails.
Thanks for your advise, much appreciated.

Hi Bodger,
No problem, trying to help is what I do! 🙂
I've found another potential reason: there is a known issue where repairing some software will unregister the System Web Server service, which is used to communicate to the compiler. It may be that this was causing the communication error you saw yesterday. This is likely a one-time installation issue.
One recommendation is to repair the Xilinx Tools, which should detect and replace any missing files from the original installation. After that, if you are back to getting the communication error, check whether the System Web Server service is present and running. If not, a second repair should re-register that service.
Let me know how it goes!

Hi Chiara A,
I have tried repairing as suggested and this has not helped, problem still persists, I have now completely removed and installed all NI software of my PC, this has taken several hours!! And the problem still persists.
I am thinking now I might roll back to 2011 as this did work last time I used it, I am a little concerned I will have the ability to communicate with the rio units I have updated with 2012 software, not sure it will work with 2011 vi's and if I will be able to change the rio back to early software version.

Hi,
I'm having exactly the same problem when I updated LabVIEW's version from 2012 SP1 to 2013 SP1. Every compilation I make fail with the same error message, even if it is a new FPGA project created on the 2013 version. I reinstalled the whole NI softwares without any results. I also remarked that I cannot open the compile worker (Start - all programs - National Instruments - FPGA compile tools - FPGA compile worker.exe).
Thank you for your help,
Mathieu.

Hi,
BODGER:
I'm sorry that you're still having difficulties! In terms of putting the 2011 back on RIO boards, that shouldn't be too much of a problem, you will just have to format them and reinstall the RIO 2011 software.
MATHIEU:
What do you mean by "open the compile worker"? On my machine, when I run the exe as you suggested, I just get a pop up saying "compile worker running" in the system tray; it should not open any kind of window.
BOTH OF YOU:
Please would you run me through, with screenshots, a step by step process of what you're doing to compile the VI, from the project to when you get the error? I've run out of information on the database as it is, so I'd like to take as much information as I can to our specialists to see if they have any ideas.
As I say, I'm sorry that you're both running in to issues and I will do my best to help you resolve these with the information which you give me.
Best wishes,

Chiara,
The file below is a bit of a hack but I am in a hurry......
Basically all I do to compile is hit the run button in the FPGA VI and then the process shown in the attached kicks into life.
