Farsi (Persian) or Arabic text boxes in Labview 8.6

Hi,

I've been trying to enter text in front panel objects or block diagram in FARSI (Persian) . It doesnt work. Actually LV doesnt have a problem with UTF-8 characters or even FARSI words. The problem is the text direction. Its like you eneter "Its going to Rain" and what you get is ".Rain to going Its, however with FARSI fonts (the same for arabic). Any suggestions? is it a setting of my system or LV has a configuration to be changed?

PS: We didnt have this problem while working with Labview 5.

There's a patch for LabVIEW 8.6 (called f1) which fixes this issue. Do a search on the site to find and download it. Note that you will also need to install the patch in every computer where you have the 8.6 run-time.

Alternatively, if your license allows it, you can upgrade to a newer version of LabVIEW, which do not have this problem (such as 8.6.1 or 2009).

I'm working on a Jet Printer project. I must make an user interface using LabVIEW. This printer must print some Unicode characters on factory's products. Specialy Persian and Arabic characters.
But it seems that there is not a string control with capability of support Persian\Arabic characters which accept and show this characters correctly.
I also add "UseUnicode=True" to LabVIEW.INI file. But it is wasteful.
