There is a possibility that the MSI tool is corrupted.  Can you install any other programs on your computer?  If that works, can you try uninstalling whatever portion of the install occurred and re-installing?  Does the LabVIEW installation work on another computer?

Hello,

Thanks for the reply, but no luck yet.  Yes, I have installed other programs successfully, even since the last Microsoft automatic update.  I did not see any portion of the LabVIEW software that had been installed, so did not uninstall anything.  I tried installin the software on a different computer and it installed without a problem.  What else should I try?

Thanks!

Try installing the software from a different CD drive on to that same computer even if you have to share a CD drive across a network to be able to do it.  I had a recent problem where a CD wouldn't install properly on one machine, but would work fine on others.  On that machine, Windows explorer had a hard time looking at the file structure of some of the subdirectories.  I ultimately figured out the CD must have been marginal quality that worked fine on some CD drives, but not this particular CD drive.  I had never had a problem with this CD drive before or since with other discs.

I'm not sure how I could do that.  The computer that I'm trying to install the software on is not networked to any other.  I tried copying the contents of the CD to my hardrive, then installing it from there.  I did not get the same error, but I got others.  Any further advice?

better take a backp and do reinstall every thing one more time, this might save your time and not  end you with the problem any more, I failed and wasted so much time on resolving this kind of errors previously and finally went up to reinstall all my things,
