Feature RFD: Behavior when inserting a bundle by name into a cluster wire

Assume you have a cluster wire. Now I want to insert a bundle by name to change a value of that cluster data.

Current (LV7.1) behavior :  the wire breaks because the cluster is wired to the bundle input

Wouldn't it be nice if the cluster is wired to the cluster input ?  (Your vi will still break because an input is required, but not the cluster wire)

Hi Henrik

I just checked this in my LV8.0 - it's still the same.

Great idea - you get a full 5 stars from me;).

Hi guys,

Thanks for the feedback.  LabVIEW R&D is aware of this feature request, so perhaps we will see this improved functionality in a future LabVIEW version.

Keep the suggestions coming,
-D

I recall this feature request from way back in LabVIEW 5. Still waiting for it... (Not holding my breath.)
