FieldPoint and simulation interface toolkit

Hi i'm trying to use cFP-2010 (with cfP-AIO-610 module) with simulation interface toolkit, in MAX i can see the FieldPoint and it's modules and i think it's all well configured.Well when i open the SIT i choose Real Time Target with the cFP ip and the port where the SIT server is running after i go on Hardware I/O and when i try to configure NI FPGA i do add device and it's return :"labview did not detect any FPGA devices installed in the specified RT target ,The default hardware type PXI-7831R will be used".Where is the error?

Hi Freddino,

I think I couldn't understand properly your problem because the cFP (your Real-Time target if I'm not wrong) has no an FPGA. Can you explain the problem a bit clearly?

Maybe i haven't understood what's FPGA means, but in the simulation interface toolkit is written i can use FieldPoint and when i try to choose Hardware I/O in the sit configuration i have 3 options:Ni-CAN,NI-DAQ,NI-FPGA. If cfP-2010 isn't a fpga device what i could choose ? In the simulation interface toolkit is written i should have to create a custom FPGA vi .I'm confused please help me

Hi Freddino,

FPGA stands for Field-Programmable Gate Array and it is a device (physically it appears as a "chip") with a matrix of reconfigurable gate array logic circuitry. The advantages of FPGA is that you can customize the logic of this "chip" without creating it (i.e without physically building the chip, the hardware), you have only to program its logic through software: you have custom hardware logic with the simplicity of software programming.
I attach two links that should be useful for you in order to understand what' FPGA is:

However cFP has nothing to share with FPGA.
Here is a link that should help you about your questions:

I hope this documents will help you
Have anice day
