I am trying to make a speed measurer using counter in NI-DAQmx using my PCI-MIO-16E-1 device (PCI 6070E). I have attached my VI.
However, there is a lot of noise that occurs in transmission/ engine rotation and hence my counter inputs way more pulses than the actual value. I have tested the VI by taking pulses from a function generator, where the correct value is being displayed.
I am using a Counter Channel VI for measuring the number of rising edges.
Can you please suggest how I can use a software filter in my VI ? At which point of the programme do I insert a filter because an inbuilt VI is acquiring data all by itself.
