Finding Polynomial Coefficents

Hi,

I’m getting quite frustrated at the moment and wonder if I am missing something really basic.Smiley Sad

Is there a VI that calculates the Polynomials and displays them in an array.

For information I am looking at getting the 5th order polynomial formula from the line of best fit from 20 plots.

This information will then be used to find the crossing of a similar polynomial.

Is this possibly and can anyone help me with this?

Cheers

Mark

Hi!

The function is not present in basic edition. If you have another edition you can find it in "Mathematical" menu, "Ajustment" menu and it's the firt of the second line. I translated the menu names from frech and I'm not shure that they're right. I hope you will find it.

You Need LabVIEW FDS or higher. The exact location depends on the LabVIEW version:

  • LabVIEW 7.x: Analyze...Mathematics...Curve Fitting...General Polynomial FIt
  • LabVIEW 8.0: Mathematics...Fitting...General Polynomial Fit
