Ok hanks, i'll have to do more reading on the subject. Can you clarify one final thing. I want to compare an actual incoming wave to an expected on. I have a signal generator creating a wave of known frequency, amplitude and phase. These settings are passed to he model vi using a global variable o give i some initial parameters. The wave is then played through a speaker and detected by a microphone. Using the same X data from the incoming wave, an f(x) is created by our model. I want to compare this with the y values from the incoming wave, to essentially see the difference between he expcted and actual Y values. Does this sound plausable? I have tried it, bu he vi is very vey messy due to the constant tinkering. Hopefully you can make sense of it.
