Font issue on large monitor

I am developing an application which will be displayed on a large (42 inch) monitor when used. when viewed on the monitor, all the text on the screen appears to have a "white shadow" which causes it to look blurry from more than a few feet away. It looks like some sort of aliasing issue. I have tried variuos fonts and styles, but it is always there. Does anyone know how to fix this? TIA Bill F

It is difficult to tell without seeing a picture....

How do you connect to the display? (VGA, HDMI, component, S-video, composite, etc.)

Are you using the native resolution of the monitor or is there some scaling/interpolation happening on the device?

What is the monitor technology. For example don't use cleartype on DLP displays, that would not make sense.

Ok more info. The monitor is an LCD and we are using an HDMI connector with 1920x1080 resolution, which is the native resolution. It has been connected to our test system computer and a developers desktop with the same results. When viewed on a smaller desktop monitor with the same resolution, it looks fine. I'll see if I can get a screenshot Bill F

bfarley,

I assume you are seeing these 'shadows' in LabVIEW, is this correct?  Do you see it outside of LabVIEW on the large monitor (in a web browser or general text in windows)?
