For MIB520 installation, I am unable to change the driver for the com port

  1. Download FTDI Virtual Com Port driver v2.02.04.
  2. Extract these drivers to a temporary directory that can be located later.
  3. Connect the MIB520 Gateway via a USB cable (Windows XP will detect the first USB device).
  4. Do not allow Windows to connect to Windows Update to find drivers, then click Next.
  5. Select a specific location to search for the driver and browse to the temporary directory created in step 2.
  6. Select the CDM 2.02.04 WHQL Certified directory and click Ok.
This select is not happening as the installation wizard tells me that the available driver is newer than the one CDM driver.
The example later given is also not working!!

What's a MIB520 and what does this installation problem have to do with LabVIEW or NI hardware?

Hello,

It is crossbow installation board which is supported by LABVIEW!!

Yes, it is supported but the kb you are referring to is old, NI does not maintain the FTDI driver, nor does it make the crossbow board. If you have a current FTDI driver installed, the message during installation makes sense. I would recomend contacting crossbow to see if their product supports the latest release from FTDI. I would also suggest you provide more information than "The example later given is also not working". Details such as error codes and a link to the actual example would be part of the details.
