Front panel optimization

Hi,

I am lately dealing with a lot of issues concerning the front panel GUI. For example,

I have a lot of controls that need to pass on values to other VIs.

Many indicators and the combination of them.

Is there any document that summarizes the optimization capabilities for a Front panel GUI?

I appreciate any link or hint.
