GPS and DAQmx Counter

Does anybody have any examples or information about a DAQmx Counter Task that uses a GPS?

I would like to synchronize the starting time/time stamp of a DAQmx Acquisition to the GPS. The counter task below uses a GPS input but I really don't know how to use it. Right now I don't have the equipment to test it out.

What I would ultimately like to do, is tie the GPS counter task and Analog Input task together to get GPS timestamps on the analog input, like t0.

Interesting API, my search in DAQmx revealed that this is only possible on NI-6608 instrument and the instrument is in Mature status (may not be suitable for new designs)
