Gain setting in DAQ and SCXI

Hello

Am using an Daq card 6280 and an SCXI 1125, I wanted to know if just by selcting the input limits the appropriate gains for DAQ and SCXI will be set?
In the project i am working accuracy is very important, so is it preferable to use the default gains or should i manually set the gains? if yes how do i set the gains manually through s/w.

Hi,

To change the gain for a channel on your DAQ device, modify the signal input or output range. Either the min/max or high/low properties of the DAQmx Channel specify what gain the DAQ device uses. You do not have to select the physical gain for each channel; the DAQ device automatically chooses the appropriate gain for each channel based on the range that you select. If you do not select a range, the DAQ device uses the default max and min values.
