General forum etiquette question

Hello quick question on NI forum etiquette. If I have a post that is squarely in the subject matter of a specialty board (that does not get very much/any traffic) is it acceptable to cross-post to the main LabVIEW board in hopes of finding a solution?

It is best to keep the discussion in one place.  But I would not be against a post to point to a thread on another board.
