Generate Key strokes

[The Held's]

I am trying to generate key strokes from a soft button in Labview 5.1. I
need to send a p to windows to activate a third party application.

I believe he has some vi's pertaining to keyboard simulation, etc.

You may want to check the following example, as it shows how to simulate keystrokes. It includes a VI called "Simulate Keyboard":

I'm attaching an VI which simulates key strokes. You might want to take a look at it and change it to match your needs.
