Getting a triggersignal from graphics card

Hi,

in a measurement setup i want to project images with a beamer and capture them by a camera. For synchronisation (camera has to be synchronised to beamer) purpose i want to use the trigger signal or refresing rate of the graphics card. And here are the questions:
1.) How do i get this trigger signal or refreshing rate from a graphic card using LabVIEW?
2.) Are there any special graphic cards i can access by LabVIEW?
3.) Can i use an API-dll (or customer-dll) to access this trigger signal?

Thanks, Daniel

Dear Daniel

What kind of camera (USB, FireWire, GigE ...) are you using?
For a variety of image acquisition boards look at http://www.ni.com/vision/.

In principle, you can call any DLL from LabVIEW; for more info go to http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361B-01/TOC30.htm.
