Hi,
We switched over from Win 7 to Win 10 PCs for most of our LV testing a couple of months ago. One of the test .exe apps was not installed on the Win 10 machine, so production went back to the Win 7 machine. All that changed was that the hardware was moved from one machine to another, and then back again.
We are now getting "Error-1073807343 occurred at property node (arg1) in Perform Discovery.vi" during the test, which worked perfectly fine before we unplugged the 3 USB devices, and then plugged them back in. It says that a possible cause may be "insufficient location information, or the device or resource is not present".
I have checked that all devices are showing up and working in MAX (v4.7). The COM ports are set correctly, and no changes have been made to any software between switching systems. I have validated the devices, and they seem to be working.
I have had all the cables checked several times, and the power supply (VISA inst) power cycled, but keep getting the error.
Any thoughts?
Thanks very much,
George

Do you know if the code is accessing them via an alias? That's the only thing I can think of.

Hi Bill,
That is the first thing I checked. It is accessing it via an alias which is read from an .ini file. The correct VISA resource looks like it is being passed through so I'm having a real hard time finding the problem.
Thanks,
George

I kinda figured that you did, judging from what you've listed as trying. Unfortunately, I am already out of ideas, as you tried everything I would've. 😞
