I could only find a reference in the NXG documentation to docked constants. Is this what you mean or is there something else?
Maybe if there are IDE or UI features or elements that we would like to see brought over from NXG then we could include a screenshot so that those who aren't familiar with the feature can get behind it too.

Sorry, yes - docked constants.

Unused items storage (see also).

I like the feature of building (compiling) classes seperately to make it easier to find errors in a classes.

Oh, yes - I like this one. I often have terminals on my BD that aren't connected to anything because the updates are handled in a GUI handler. In NXG it nice to have them "out of the way".

That doesn't ring a bell (I didn't do that much in NXG).
Sounds interesting though...

Get rid of all the windows!!!
I learned NXG first and now LabVIEW. There are so many good things about the NXG environment:
Almost everything is better in the NXG editor.
I think I like the way you build applications and build an installer in LabVIEW. I've only done that once so far so take that with a grain of salt!

- Tabs for diagram, front panel and icon.
- A much better function search.
- Multiple tabs for different files that are open.
- The docking windows for debugging, project files, properties.
Almost everything is better in the NXG editor.
That is the first time I heard that...
Absolutely hate the 3 bolded items.

You can still break out the individual VIs if you want to. By default, they appear in the same window, and I had a love/hate relationship with that.

Then you have not one but two screen filling monstrosities.
I am programming the VI, I want to see it. All the docked tools are only used a small percentage of the time. Convenient when you need them, taking up screen resources most of the time.
If we could undoc those tools we get the best of both.
