HDMI acquisition

Hi All,

I am currently trying to use a Black Magic Intensity HDMI acquisition board (PCIe).
I am using the Dxcap library (http://www.alliancevision.com/us/products/software_alv/dxcap/fr_dxcap.htm) which works fine with "classic" video acquisition devices (PCI, USB, etc.).
The problem I have is that I can capture easily video when my HDMI format is set to 576i (PAL), but when I configure my video source and the Intensity board to 720p, I can't get any picture in my image control (ctl). the ActiveMovie window displays the 720p source but my image ctl is not refreshed (just a black pic).

Does someone have experimented this product?
Is there a setting to change for the LabVIEW image control?

Thank you in advance for your help

Regards

Just hazarding a guess here,

Is the HDMI interface HDCP (High-definition content protection) enabled?

This basically only allows digital transmission of 720p and above to "qualified" receivers.......

Hi Shane,

You're right, but my HD video source doesn't protect the video I am trying to capture, so it's not an HDCP issue.
The most amazing thing is that my ActiveMoviewindow is displaying mt video source, so there is no "physical" issue.
The thing I have notice in the acquisition driver is that the nb of bits is not 32 (like when my HDMI source is set to 720x576) but 16 when in 720p. So my feeling is that the picture format in LabVIEW isn't matching with the one provided by the driver.

What can I adapt my LabVIEW image setting to fix this issue? i.e handle this 16 bits picture like I use to do for 32 bits?
In fact everything is OK from the ActiveMovieWindow point of view, it's just the recovering of the picture in LabVIEW.

I am looking forward to your answer.
Thank you for your help.
