HELP! old labview 5.1lib, need to upgrade to 8.6

Our old data acquisition PC finally packed it in so we upgraded from a LV 5.1 PC-AT system to a new(er) LV 8.6 PCI system.

Nice/fast new hardware.... but LV 8.6 just laughs at me when I try to open the old 5.1 library.  Not fun.

I've located/activated the hooks into the new DAQ hardware so that part is good to go.  However, I have no clue (aside from starting from scratch... which I'd prefer to avoid if at all possible) how to get the REST of the vi's in the old v5.1 library upgraded to where they'll open in v8.6.

Any help/methods/recommendations you folks can provide will be most appreciated!

Hi wys,

Here you go - first opened/saved with LV 7.1 then with LV 8.5.1.

Cheers!.

Hi there,

I need to upgrade a few old Vi's from version 5.1.1  to version 8.5. As i understand it, if i can upgrade my Vi's to version 6.0 or later then when i open them in 8.5 i can then upgrade them?

I found this thread and was wondering if i could be cheeky and ask if anyone could upgrade them to version 6.0 or later for me?

Thanks in advance if possible.

I am with the same problem. If anybody could convert this file to an 6.0 or above version i woud be very very grateful.

                 Thanks a lot.

Already done. If you hadn't posted the same question multiple times, you might have been able to keep track of this.

My response was for carlos.

Here are yours. Whoever saved these originally, included VIs from NI in vi.lib and that can be a very dumb thing to do. Some of these are broken now and I would recomend that you delete then from the llbs.
