Having problems with waveform max

Hey folks,
I did get a response regarding multiple cursor placement. It works thanks! but i have a slight problem with it. When i plot the excel data as graph the first data point starts from zero and next one is some positive number which is junk data. Its detecting that as peak and placing cursor there. I am sending my file-vi and excel sheet so that u can have a clear idea. I have filtered and zeroed it.

I am not sure I completely understand but I would suggest that if you have a point you know is junk that you just not include it in the max function.

In addition I took a look at the cursor placement, and it is not at the first data point that is high. You have a peak in the middle of your data. So I don't understand the comment about the second point being hte issue.

Hey!

Well yes i do have peak in the middle somewhere but the first and the third cursor position themselves well at their respective peaks but the second cursor doesn't. These are peaks in the x,y and z direction so the peak should be achieved approx at the same instant. But my second cursor fails to find the exact max. I don't know why.

I took a look at the data again and it just appears that the bandpass filter may not be correct for the data. The filtered data has a very distinct peak at the start that if you want to ignore, you will have to program the Code to ignore the first few points in the Max.

What is this data, and might that help us figure out why the filter doesn't seem right? I also notice that when you added the cursors you did not associate them with a specific plot. If you want to click on the lock on the cursor legend to associaate that cursor with a plot.
