I have a Datamax I-Class barcode printer with parallel port (Centronics). I am using a USB-to-Centronics cable to connect the printer to my computer. After the Datamax driver was installed, the printer appeared as "USB Printing Support" in Universal Serial Bus controllers folder in the Device Manager, not as LPT1. I found "choosePrinter.vi" and 'Print Zebra Barcodes.vi" very useful from the discussion forum. But in my case, the printer does not show up as LPT1, I cannot use VISA resource name to write to it. Does anyone have experience? Any advices are welcome.
Thanks a million,

Hello Cathymin,
There are a few options here, so I am going to point you at a few links. I am not familiar with your particular device, but here are a few ways to interface with generic USB devices.
1) Use the Driver Development Wizard to communicate with your device over VISA as described here.
2) Just make manual calls to the driver using the Call Library Function Node as described here.
3) Let us know if you run into trouble with these methods!
