oard and analog input channel with MAX using a sine signal from a function generator and both worked fine. However, I have not been successful with any of the VI's in the DAQ examples that came with labview (i.e no signal is displayed in the chart window).

Installing NI-DAQ (shipped standalone on a CD with the board) separately from Labview caused some kind of conflict. To resolve the problem, only labview and the NIDAQ shipped with it on the same CD was installed.
