Dear All,
Am new to this instrument control using LabVIEW. I had experience in LabVIEW programming. But in instrument side i just started to learn.
We are using TekTronix TDS7404. It has built in OS (Windows 98). I have installed NI VISA 3.01 (since that is the latest version that supports win 98?). I did something (i forgot the steps) and in the MAX now my device is listed under Miscellaneous VISA resource (With a yellow icon) and below it it was displayed as GPIB:8::0 something. When i opened VISA interactive control and get attributes like resource manufacturer name it is displaying as TekTronix Inc. My query is whether it is configured correctly? Then why is the yellow mark? And why my device is listed under Miscellaneous VISA resource and is named as GPIB:8::0 something? I uninstalled NI VISA completely including MAX and reinstalled again. But after a fresh installation also, MAX is now displaying the same thing. (I thought the device entry got removed, but not happened so).
Please give me some steps how to configure my device and display in MAX and getting some attributes from MAX.
