Hex 0xBFF69020 Invalid camera file

Hello,

I am using the Basler scA1300-32gc and when I am trying to stream image using NI-IMAQdx I get the following error:

Asasafuchi_0-1737539060064.png

However, if I click continue it manages to stream footage from the camera. Does anybody know some possible causes for this specific error?

Hi,
"Camera file" in this context is probably .icd file located by default here: `C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\NI-IMAQdx\Data`. It's .ini-style file with all the data that NI MAX or IMAQdx functions could read. Since pressing "Continue" gets the camera to work, this file is probably ignored and default values are used. How you got a file for your camera and how it got corrupted - I couldn't know :). You can try deleting it (after creating a backup) and opening this camera again - default and working file will be created for you.

I worked with .icd files and Basler cameras and sometimes, despite seemingly the same model, a camera would not behave like the rest. Whether it was a faulty one or was it caused simply by a different firmware or something - I never found out.

Despite unintuitive location, these files are great to use: https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA00Z000000P9u4SAC&l=pl-PL

Well, while they are not corrupted at least 🙂 .

Please add some context, maybe I could help you.more.
