Hioki 8826 GPIB command list

Hi,

I am in need for a GPIB command list for the Hioki 8826 Hi-Corder. This unit is vintage 1999 or so and the manufacturer could not help anymore as it is considered obsolete.

Can someone help me out here ?

Thanks in advance

Regards

Kay

There is a driver that you can take a look at.

You might be able to buy a manual from one of the many used test equipment vendors. Have you tried google?

Hi Dennis,

thanks for your reply, yes I have tried Google, Yahoo, Altavista and the like. Unfortunately there is no info to be found, not even on the Hioki site. I was wondering there must be some

document or programming manual for the GPIB interface 9523 board that is used with the Hioki 8825. (oops typo, it is a 8825 not 8826)

Thanks for trying to help me.

Best Regards

I did a quick google search for 'Hioki 8825 manual' and found this with the first listing. What did you use for the search terms? And did you bother to download the driver for the 8826 that I pointed you to? It might be very close to the 8825.

Hi Dennis,

yes I have downloaded the User Manual, it contains no GPIB stuff, just how to operate the unit.

I did follow the link you pointed me to, eventually it linked back to the Hioki site and there I found

something similarwhich may be useful and applicable.

Description of transfer commands used with the GP-IB, RS-232C and LAN interfaces

It seems the Hi-Corder line GPIB commands are very similar, the 8840, 8841, 8842 and 8825 are

very similar and about the same vintage.

As far as googeling goes, I used "Hioki 8825 GPIB programming manual", "Hioki 8825 GPIB 9523

programming" ect.

Thanks again

Hi Kay,

It looks as though you've found the best resource for the actual GPIB Commands for your device.  As Dennis K mentioned, we have a driver on our Instrument Driver Network that will allow to use the Hioki 8826 in LabVIEW (http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.model_page?p_model_id=2694).
