Home install?

Hi,

Vaguely remember reading somewhere on the 'net that if I have a license at work for LabVIEW, I can install a second copy with the same license at home. Is this the correct official NI line on this? Also, my home machine is a Mac whilst the work machine is a PC, if this makes any odds.

Have you read your license agreement? The latest is at http://www.ni.com/legal/license/ if you deleted the local copy.

The license for LabVIEW for windows does not include a license for LabVIEW for Mac so you would need a windows virtual machine on the Mac.

In addition, you may want to be careful if you are using the home license to create products you would sell. This would most likely be an issue with your company as well as it may be a violation of the NI license. The home use license is to allow you to do work for your company at home. Not provide a copy for you to use for a separate entity such as for consulting.
