Host PC - PXI RT Target - TargetVI Frontpanel from host accessible during runtime?

Hello,

I am wondering, if I can put all of my code to the RT Target and during runtime, view and control the Frontpanel of the main VI on the RT Target.

This would save me from passing a lot of data from the Target to host pc via TCP/IP.

Secondly, I wonder, if making an application of my project will change any of the above.

Hardware: Host PC - regular Laptop with WindowsXP (and if needed Labview 8.2)

                 Target: PXI 8196 with LabView Real Time OS (same version)

The target collects, processes and stores a lot of data from various sources (CAN Network, Com port sources, SCXI Chassis with 7 connected cards)

Hi Arne,

you can also use Shared Variables to communicate between RT and Host or you can use the web publishing tool:
