How can I automatically word wrap a string placed in a (multicolumn) listbox ?

There was tons of ways I found to make it work with just about anything but the MCL. This was the only one that I could make work reliably with it. I'm open to any suggestions on how to do it better.

It can wrap a single string "hard" or at different chars like ,.-_
