How can I build two installers to install two executable files in the same folder?

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi All,

I have two executable files which share same support files, and they share many SubVIs. I have generated installer for them seperately, and they could be installed seperately.

But the last installed one always overwrite the one installed previously.(the old desktop icon is also replace by the new one.)

How can I make them coexist in the same folder? thanks.

If the two executables and the desktop shortcuts don't have the same name, this should not happen.

However, make sure that also the Upgrade codes are different (in the Version Information section of the builder settings), otherwise the installer will uninstall the existing application before installing its own.

Hi Paolo

Thanks for the reply. the desktop shortcuts don't have the same name.

The existing application did seem to be uninstalled, and I had disable the auto increment version, that seem to be the issue.
