As my document was broken up into sections to allow for changes in the headers and footers, there was a muck up in the sectioning.
Since I have now fixed the sectioning, I can print any selection I like from Word or the ActiveX_Print.vi.

This has been a real knock down drag out.
Gotta remember to check all the options as to where the problem may be. Not necessarily where you think.
