How can I programmicly modify a ring control?

Solved!
Go to solution
I have a test system that supports numerous products. In addition, I frequently have to add new products to the support list. I have a ring control that lists those products. I would like to be able to have my program automaticly read a setup file and modify and/or add to the ring control list any new products found in the setup file. I am wondering if anyone has attempted this. Or, is there a better way to setup a adaptable system to accomidate what I want to do?

This is very easy. Right click the ring control, create a property node
"Strings[]" (Create>Property Node>Strings[]). Put the desired names in it
through this property node.

Wiebe.

In the diagram I attached I add an item to the Company variable, and set the value to the new addition.

Hi Tim,

I just wanted to offer a tip to help you collect more Kudos for your postings.

1) After you post with an image attached right-click the link for the image and select Properties and copy the URL.

2) Use the Options drop-down at the top right of your post and choose Edit

3) Put your cursor where you wan the image to appear and then click the "Insert/Edit Picture" button (looks like a tree).

4) Paste the URL you copied in step #1 into the URL field and click insert.

Post your edited post.

Just trying to help,

Ben
