How can I talk remotely to and configure a LAN/HP-IB Gateway model HP E2050 with LabVIEW 5 or 6?

I participated in the NI seminar and I saw that was possible to locate a NI ENET interface using "Devices and Interfaces", mouse right click, "create New", then select "RDA Device".
I tried to do the same thing for a similar HP device that I have connected on the LAN here, but doesn't find it.

The Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) is the software interface for all National Instruments hardware products. This means that 3rd party hardware products (like your HPIB LAN device) will not be detected in MAX. Instead, you will need to use the driver software that you received from HP (or Agilent) to configure the device.
