How can I use DAQ Assistant Express VI to generate a ramp pattern on an Analog Output Channel of 6052E ? If it is possible how do I do it?

I want to make a program for IV characteristics of superconductors.

Thank you for contacting National Instruments.

I have written a small VI that illustrates one way to generate a ramp pattern and output it to an analog channel. This particular VI outputs the ramp to analog output channel 0. You can double click the express VI and change the settings to meet your needs. Keep in mind that this VI is crude and intended only to be a guide.

I have also included a reader VI that will read the ramp on analog input channel 1. To observe the ramp, you will need to start the reader VI first, then run the generator VI.

I found another way to generate ramp pattern by using Simulate Arbitary Signal VI. I find the new LabView7 very interesting.

Could you please share your method with me?

I am trying to find out the fastest way to generate a ramp on AO.
Also, if I need to keep it at a steady output (after ramping up), do i still need to keep writing to the AO
Or is there a way to force the AO to hold last value?
