How can I use LabVIEW to ground floating SCXI-1520 channels (in order not to lose scanning capabilities from the multiplexer)?

Currently I am using both (in separate systems) and as of yet, I have not seen the issue from the M series card as was encountered with the E series card.  The grounding issue with the E series does not seem to have a pattern to trace which channels go out - though from experience it is common to lose the channels after the open line. (though i'm pretty sure you saw that too Smiley Happy )

If you're having this issue also and have the ability to - I would recommend switching to the M series card.  For us, the creativity involved with fixing the grounding issue on the E series with the number of channels being used was more expensive and time consuming than purchasing the M series card.  Smiley Happy

Good Luck!

devchander,

on the second system I am using SCXI-1521B's instead of 1520s - but either way the 1520 and 1521b strain inputs are in multiplexed mode.

also, the software "fix" for this was not an option due to the sampling rate necessary for our testing - so if it does work for you it might not be necessary to switch over.

either way - good luck - let me know if you have any other questions.
