http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=227405#M227405 you will find a link to a Garmin manual that provides plenty of information on the NMEA data strings and therefore how to parse them - quite a simple task - there is also a word document that contains a screen grab of an application I created for use on a PDA that interfaced to the GPS using Bluetooth - you won't need the BT part but the pase of the data will be very similar - Mike
