I don't think you're one of them.

Exactly. This is why I'm finished with this thread.

BTW, dixy normous will always be a member, no matter how many times he posts.

He could probably use a name change as well ![]()
I'm not sure that falls under the catagory of 'professional conduct'

Looks like you edited it out by mistake. What to you think:Do you think that there might be any applications out there, that generate large quantities of data, that might benefit from larger supported storage capacities while still enjoying the benefits that a RTOS brings to the table?Do beneficial characteristics an RTOS and the benefit of larger storage capacity have to be mutually exclusive?McKevin.
Sorry...
I thought this thread was dead... I looked at it and there were >30 new posts 😮
Humm... That's a good question. Maybe some security application where you want to do some image processing, such as scanning a person's face and look for recognizable feature. Then store both the image and the recognizable features. This would be done for a number of people who have access to some restricted area, thus the reason for saving each image.
Actually, most likely any application that has to do with video or imaging that requires processing while both scanning and processing, thus the RT requirement. And the massive storage because of the nature of video and image files.
