How do I add a new terminal on a Sub-VI and assign it a variable?

Given a sub-vi that works, I want to add a new functional terminal. How do I do it?

Right Click on the Sub-VIs Icon and show the connector. Now when you right click on the icon you can add terminals, change their orientation, etc. You can then take the wiring tool and click on the front panel object you want to associate with the terminal and then click on the unassigned terminal. Now you have the association.

To save people some grief - you cannot get this "Show Connector" option if you right click in the Block Diagram view, you must be in the front panel view to see this.

If you're on one of the newer versions and don't see the "Show Connector" option when you right click on the VI icon, but see a terminal icon left to the sub VI icon, try this: choose the terminal box you want to use, and then click on the indicator/control you want to connect to. All this is on the front panel diagram.
