How do I get a vi out of an exe file

I cretaed a lab for our undergrads last year and created an exe and installer to load this on to lab computers. I then altered the initial vi and created another exe file and installer. I am trying to see the difference in the two but I can't find my orignial vi files anywhere. Of course I took no notes and I have misplaced my install disk.

Can I get the vi files out of an exe file somehow? I have version 6i and 7.

Thanks for your help

Dave

You can see the VIs in an exe - just change the extension to llb and you can use Edit VI Library to see all the VIs but all VIs are saved to the llb without diagrams and most are saved without the front panel. Once gone, there's no way to recover either one.

Hi,

You can even open the top level vi, and view the hierarchy.

Regards,

Wiebe.
