How do I get row/column location for the active cell in an open .xls file?

I'm attempting to create an application that will input data into a highlighted cell in an already open spreadsheet file. I can't figure out how to programmatically obtain the row/column location of the active cell so I can write to it. Suggestion?

I will have to check on doing this it should be kind of simple. Are you using the toolkit ot just plain old ActiveX.

For more information and some sample VI's and tool kits, you can go to the excel board

No toolkit, just ActiveX.
