I've got a Dalsa Genie GigE camera. I've managed to get it set up using an automatic private IP address, and can see it in MAX (4.6). I'm using IMAQdx 3.4.0
I now want to be able to set its IP address to a fixed (persistent) one, but that option in MAX is greyed out (Camera Attributes tab, select All Attributes from View Options, then Camera Information - IP Address). There seems to be no way to change this, or even a setting to say you want to be able to use a Persistent IP address.
Is there any way to do this through MAX or do I have to use Dalsa's software (I'm sure I probably *can* - I just don't want to have to install yet more software if I don't need to!)
Thanks for any help,
Dave

Hi David
This looks to be an issue with the camera interfacing with the driver.
For this device to define it a static IP address it has to be on the same subnet as the computer that you are trying to set it from.
If MAX dose not let you define the static IP the Dalsa network configuration tool allows you to.
