How do I i get a VI to stop running continuously ?

No, I never expect someone to wait 2^32-1 milliseconds!  It is a "convenient falsehood".  Incidentally, I wonder if NI does the same thing with its -1 "timeouts" (which are noted as "Never times out") -- does this mean "Never" or only 7+ weeks?
