Aha, a Database Expert! Following my own advice, I did a Web Search on Connect LabVIEW to Database (which is something I've not yet had to do) and found that it wasn't as tricky or arcane as I'd imagined. The things you can learn on the Forums ...

Yeah I really should force myself to use databases (especially SQLite) in LabVIEW. I've seen some good tools made and used, and the feature of it are quite attractive. Knowing when to use TDMS or a real database (TDMS is not a database) can be difficult.

Since my end game is to gather statistics on performance of simulations under differing initial conditions, controls, inputs etc, I think the best option is going to be to use a database. That being said, I think individual simulations are going to be using TDMS from now one. It's a very attractive platform!
